One of the biggest events of the year, Formal, started off Friday night with dinner and dancing and continued throughout the weekend at a beach house.

Crescent Classic
May 14th, 2008
This philanthropy, hosted by Gamma Phi Beta, gave us a chance to show off our frisbee prowess. Located at Drake Stadium, just down the hill from the dorms, the fraternities were engaged in a game of skill and teamwork that endured long into the night. Although we didn't manage to take first place, it was still a memorable event.

Mother's Day

The brothers and associates of the Alpha Zeta chapter know that we wouldn't be anywhere without our mothers. In an effort to show our appreciation, we invited our families to the house so that we could host a fantastic meal, made from the culinary prowess of our best chefs in the chapter.

Habitat for Humanity Clean-Up
May 10th, 2008
In our first partnership with Theta Xi's national service project, Habitat for Humanity, we woke up at the brink of daylight to aid in cleaning up a house destroyed in the Santa Clarita fires. While shoveling ash, demolishing remaining fragments of walls and pulling up smoke-streaked tiles, we developed teamwork skills with our fellow brothers through the best possible way: hard labor. This experience also served to connect us with other community service inclined individuals on our campus and in the greater population.

Anchor Splash
May 4th, 2008
The brothers and associates took part in Anchor Splash, a mixed water relay and synchronized event hosted by the Delta Gamma sorority. Due to the outstanding choreographic skills exhibited by our team, Theta Xi took first place in the synchronized swimming event, and second overall. In doing so, we left a lasting impression on the many people attending and showed that we have the right stuff. You can see a video of this winning performance to the right.

Founder's Day Banquet (2008)
April 26th, 2008
The brothers and associates attended a formal Banquet hosted by the Alpha Zeta and Alpha Nu alumni at the Proud Bird restaurant. This event honoring Theta Xi's founding allowed our members to interact with our many wonderful and supportive alumni. During dinner the members and alumni engaged in discussions about the history as well as the future of the fraternity.

Dockweiler's State Beach Bonfire
April 25th, 2008
Sometimes students get tired of campus. This trip allowed our members to get a little fresh air. Brothers and associates drove out to the beach, built a bonfire and enjoyed a night of football, soccer, stories, and s'mores.

Relay For Life
April 19th, 2008
Our first large scale philanthropy, Relay for Life provided a great way to help honor those who have died from cancer, as well as those who have survived. With a team of 18 Theta Xi raised $1200 to help fight cancer. While this event was of a serious nature participants created a fun environment to raise money in. Whether playing soccer, football, watching the live performances or just walking around the track, members had a powerful and memorable experience.

Gladiator Pool Party
April 8th, 2008
Being the only house on the row with a pool gives us the unique advantage to do things that no other house can. With a bridge extending across the middle of the pool, brothers, associates and party guests duke it out gladiator style while enjoying a cool escape from the southern California heat.
