I couldn't have made a better decision while at UCLA! After leaving high school and having participated in a number clubs and athletics, I felt a strong sense of accomplishment, that I had given something to my school and left my mark. My first year at UCLA was certainly enjoyable and a lot of fun, but a part of me was disappointed as I had not done anything that provided me with that same feeling. Now in my second year, I can say without a doubt that I have helped to create something that has contributed to the UCLA community in a positive manner and will continue to do so long after I graduate. I could not possibly be any prouder of what my fellow brothers and I have started and am excited to watch Theta Xi flourish in the coming years. Above all else, I have become incredibly close to a group of guys who I am truly proud to call my brothers. Brotherhood isn't a bond for four years; it's a bond for life.

Football, the niners, yelling at the tv on sundays. Baseball, basketball, tennis, dodgeball (who doesn't love balls flying at their face?), competitive checkers, curling, shuffleboard, croquet, bachi ball, javelin, iditerod, etc... Kayaking, rafting, getting my swell on at the gym. Cooking food, eating food, going to the movies. Hanging out with friends... Oh, and enjoying a professional career as a Jay Sobel look alike.

That so many guys are so good and passionate about so many different things and that we all get to experience a vast array of things together that we probably would have never tried otherwise.

Design/Media Arts

Singing, beatboxing, performing, all sports known to man, drawing/designing/illustrating, competition, making/watching movies, my family, drinking milk, other people.. and your mom. Oh and dancing whenever possible and when appropriate...like to and from class or in front of my grandma. Clubs too...gotta love them clubs.

Theta Xi is an awesome group of genuine guys. I love how all of our brothers have such a wide range of interests, activities and personalities, but how we're still one big brotherhood.

Hanging out with friends, going out into Westwood, Xbox 360 sports games, occasional boxing, being the reigning pool gladiator champion, and most importantly... Killing Mark Westfall.

I love the strong bonds of brotherhood that are forged through all the challenges that we face together. Dorm floors are social and all, but what could be better than living in your own house with 40 of your best friends never more than a stones throw away. Philanthropies and social events lead to even more fun with this great group of guys. I also love that I can kill Mark over and over and he has to put up with it

I love the great group of focused guys and the opportunity for change that I see in Theta Xi. The guys are always open to new ideas and events, and there is no stupid hierarchy that keeps new members from getting their voices and opinions heard. Not to mention we have by far the best looking house on the row.

I can honestly say that I consider everyone in Theta Xi a friend. Some fraternities have a surplus of members with their own clicks. At Theta Xi there is one cohesive unit where everyone feels comfortable. Also, the house is sick, we do a lot of fulfilling community service, and you are free to express all creative ideas. You can come up with green ideas for the house, ideas for philanthropies, or explore the financial side of running a successful chapter. Since it's so new any member can put in his input and mold it into whatever he thinks is cool, and I dig that.

When I first considered joining Theta Xi, I wasn't convinced. Being in a Fraternity was not even close to being on my shortlist of things to do while in college. But when I finally got involved in Theta Xi, it was revolutionary! For me, Theta Xi is about taking advantage of the benefits of collectivization, and having a damn good time doing it. Theta Xi has helped me grow as an individual, while being in the presence of some of the coolest individuals ever brought into this world.

Honestly, what I love about Theta Xi is the guys. From the moment I walked in the house I knew I had made the right decision. It's a feeling that I'll never forget. The feeling that I'm a part of something special. We're all constantly building something here. It's a never ending task, and we have the right guys for the job. The fraternity doesn't make us, we make the fraternity. And that makes this fraternity pretty damn special.
